Financial Clarity Delivered
Company Accounts
We prepare and file your annual accounts accurately and on time, giving you a clear picture of how your business is performing — and what your numbers really mean.
Clear, Compliant, and Designed to Keep You Informed — Not Exposed
Producing your year-end company accounts isn’t just about ticking a box. It’s about understanding your business performance, planning ahead, and staying compliant – without giving away more than you have to. At Welbourne & Co, we take care of preparing and filing your company’s statutory accounts in line with all Companies House and HMRC requirements. But we also go one step further: we help you understand what the figures mean, and we work strategically to keep the minimum required information in the public domain.
What’s Included
- Preparation of full year-end accounts from your bookkeeping or records
- A breakdown of key financial figures so you understand your business performance
- Submission of your accounts to Companies House and HMRC
- Corporation Tax calculations and review (linked to your tax return service)
- Filing of abbreviated/filleted accounts to limit what’s published online
- Optional review meeting (online or in-person) to go through your numbers
Why It Matters
Your accounts are a key part of your financial story – but that doesn’t mean the whole world needs to read it. Wherever possible, we file filleted accounts, which reduce what’s visible to the public and protect your privacy. You stay fully compliant, but with fewer details on display.
How We Work
We use cloud software and efficient systems to make the accounts process smooth, secure, and stress-free. We’ll remind you when your year-end is coming up, gather what we need, and keep you updated along the way. No chasing, no confusion. Whether you’re new to running a company or just want a more proactive accountant, we’ll help you stay ahead – and fully informed.
Let’s Make Your Year-End Easier

Local Expertise with a Personal Touch
Welbourne & Co was founded in 2010 by Richard Welbourne with a simple idea: accountancy should be efficient, affordable, and genuinely helpful for business owners.
After years working in larger regional firms, Richard saw first-hand how traditional accountancy practices often came with hefty overheads and outdated systems. Determined to do things differently, he set up Welbourne & Co with a streamlined model—using smart technology instead of large offices, and passing those savings on to clients.

If I use Xero, do I still need an accountant?
Yes. Xero is a brilliant bookkeeping tool, but bookkeeping is just the beginning. As Chartered Certified Accountants, we use that data to prepare your statutory accounts, submit corporation tax returns, and ensure compliance with HMRC and Companies House. We help turn your bookkeeping into real insight and ensure nothing is missed.
What does it mean that you’re Chartered Certified Accountants?
It means we’re fully qualified, regulated, and held to high professional standards. Many lenders, including mortgage providers, now require accounts to be signed off by a Chartered accountant — so it really matters. You’re in safe, credible hands with us.
You’re a Xero Gold Partner — what does that mean?
It’s a recognition of our deep experience with Xero and the number of clients we support on the platform. Being a Gold Partner shows our commitment to cloud accounting and reflects the trust our clients place in us — especially impressive for a firm our size.
Can you help me get started with cloud accounting?
Absolutely. We’ve helped many businesses move onto Xero and similar tools. We’ll guide you through setup, provide training, and be on hand for support whenever you need it.
Do you work with limited companies and sole traders?
Yes — whether you’re a limited company, sole trader, or partnership, we have packages and expertise to suit your situation.
